Why private practice
Why GreyStone doesn't take insurance panels directly.
Choosing not to credential with insurance panels directly preserves clinical autonomy and protects client confidentiality. Insurers often require a formal mental-health diagnosis, ongoing release of session notes, and approval for the type and length of treatment. By working privately (and via Headway, where appropriate), Tara can practice in a way that serves the client, not the payer.

Tara is in-network through Headway. Currently accepted plans include:

Coverage and copay vary by plan. Headway will verify benefits before your first session.
Payment & cancellation
Reserved time, simple terms.
Payment is due at the time of service. A credit card is kept securely on file. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice — and missed appointments — are charged the full session fee, as that time has been reserved for you.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Tara is in-network through Headway with plans including Cigna, Aetna (TX), Carelon, Ascension Smart Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield (TX), Quest Behavioral Health (TX), and more. Headway verifies your benefits before the first session.
How much does a session cost without insurance?
Self-pay rates are $150 for a 60-minute individual session and $200 for a 60-minute couples session.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
A limited sliding scale is considered case-by-case, based on need and availability. Ask during your free 15-minute consultation.
